|Title||Construction Coordinator I (Engineering Coordinator – Fire) Afghanistan|
Under general supervision, responsible for coordinating construction operations on a project or site. Coordinates and schedules activities of departments within the Construction family to ensure that support services are provided on a timely basis. Reports the operation status of the assigned organization to construction management and/or site management. Provides technical and construction assistance and support to projects. Interprets code, standards, and specifications to ensure compliance with these statues during construction. Performs inspections and audits of construction activities to determine conformance with specified requirements. Assists in developing procedures and programs for providing technical support.
Provides input to proposals relative to constructability. Evaluates the effectiveness of project constructability programs. As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.

Basic Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and 2 years directly related experience. 2+ years of experience working on large and small multidiscipline projects.
Other Job Requirements
Experience with construction, technical, and engineeringactivities on large scale projects. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent computer literacy and skills in MS Office Suite required. Knowledge of the concepts, methods, standards and practices of the construction industry. Knowledge of the Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop and AutoCAD 2009, including being comfortable using layers, reference files, view ports, and annotative scales. Experience with AutoCAD 2009.
Prior Military and/or Contingency Operations experience preferred. Experience in Afghanistan or Iraq
Some familiarity / experience with fire alarm, protection or suppression systems is preferred.
Knowledge of building codes including: IBC, UFC, NFPA 70, and ANSI Chapter 2.
Knowledge of fire alarm, fire protection or fire suppression systems.
